  • Thank you for visiting the Company of Good Network Web site (at the domain name Companyofgood.sg) (this “Site”), which is maintained by the National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre (“NVPC”, “we” or our”). “You” or “your” refers to any such party who is given access to or use of the Site and/or Services (defined below) by NVPC.

 

  • The following terms and conditions govern your access and use of the Site and the Services (defined below). By accessing and using any part of this Site and/or Services, you are indicating your agreement to be bound by the following terms and conditions of use (“Terms of Use”). If you do not agree to all the Terms of Use, please do not access or use this Site or any of its Services.

 

  • These Terms of Use are current as of 01 March 2023.

 

  • Access to and use of password-protected and/or secure areas of the Site and using the Services are restricted to Members (defined below) only. You may not obtain or attempt to obtain unauthorised access to such parts of this Site and/or Services, or to any other protected information, through any means not intentionally made available by us for your specific use. A breach of this provision may be an offence under the Computer Misuse and Cybersecurity Act (Cap. 50A) of Singapore.

 

  • If you are below 18 years old: you must obtain consent from your parent(s) or legal guardian(s), their acceptance of these Terms of Use and their agreement to take responsibility for: (i) your actions; (ii) any charges associated with your use of any of the Services, software or content provided or purchase of goods; and (iii) your acceptance and compliance with these Terms of Use. If you do not have consent from your parent(s) or legal guardian(s), you must stop using/accessing the Site and using the Services.

  • "Materials" means, collectively, all content, information, functionalities, services or materials displayed, provided or made available on the Site or through the provision of the Services, including but not limited to text, software, code, scripts, webpages, music, sound, photographs, video, graphics, graphical user interface, forms, diagrams, toolkits, training materials or other material contained in the Site.

 

  • “Member” means a registered user of a Company of Good Network account at the Site.

 

  • "Personal Data" means any data about an individual from which can be identified, either (a) from that data; or (b) from that data and other information to which we have or are likely to have access, including data in our records as may be updated from time to time. Examples of such Personal Data include but are not limited to your name, NRIC, passport or other identification number, personal telephone number(s), personal mailing address, personal email address, personal bank account, credit card information, employment history, education background, income levels.

 

  • "Services" means services, information and functions made available by us through the Site.

  • This Site is an official NVPC Web site and is owned and operated by NVPC.

 

  • You agree to comply with all guidelines, notices, operating rules, policies and instructions pertaining to the access and use of the Site, Services and/or any Materials, as issued by NVPC from time to time. NVPC reserves the right to revise or amend these guidelines, notices, operating rules, policies and instructions, including these Terms of Use, at any time in its sole discretion and you are deemed to be aware of and bound by any changes to the foregoing upon their publication on the Site. You can determine when these Terms of Use were last revised by referring to the preamble above. You agree that the amended version of these guidelines, notices, operating rules, policies and instructions (including these Terms of Use) shall apply to you if you access or use the Site and/or the Services after such amendments have been made, and you shall be deemed to have consented to such amendments. If you do not accept such amendments, you must stop accessing and/or using the Site and the Services.

 

  • The use of specific aspects of the Site and/or Services may be subject to additional terms and conditions which will apply in full force and effect.

 

  • NVPC reserves the right to change aspects of the Site, amend any Materials, or introduce new services to be provided through the Site (collectively "New Services") at any time in its sole discretion. All New Services shall be governed by these Terms of Use.

 

  • NVPC reserves the right to, from time to time without giving any reason or prior notice, upgrade, modify, alter, suspend, discontinue the provision of or remove, whether in whole or in part, the Services, and shall not be liable if any such upgrade, modification, alteration or suspension prevents you from accessing or using the Site and/or Services.

 

  • NVPC reserves the right, but shall not be obliged, to: (i) monitor, screen, or otherwise control any activity on the Site in the course of providing the Services; (ii) remove, block, reject or relocate any Materials; (iii) deny or restrict access of any user to the Site or to block access from a particular Internet address to the Site; and/or (iv) report any activity it suspects to be in violation of any applicable law, statute or regulation to the appropriate authorities and to co-operate with such authorities. NVPC may investigate any violations of these Terms of Use and may take any action it deems appropriate in response.

 

  • You must also: (i) abide by all applicable laws and regulations in your access and use of the Site and the Services; (ii) not impersonate any person or entity or to falsely state or otherwise misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity; (iii) not send, distribute or upload, in any way, data or materials that contain viruses, malicious code or other harmful components; (iv) not post, promote or transmit through the Site any unlawful, harassing, libellous, harmful, vulgar, obscene or otherwise objectionable material of any kind or nature; and (v) not disclose any information in breach of confidence to NVPC, or include any such information in as part of the information furnished in the application form to create a Company of Good Network account.
